Nokia Lumia 610 – Why An Upgrade To It Makes Sense

Nokia smartphones are currently trying to catch up with others on the market but there are plenty of reasons why you should choose one. The Nokia Lumia 610, for example, has plenty of advantages to it and those who are in the market for an upgrade should seriously consider everything that this phone has to offer.

Overview

The Nokia Lumia 610 is one of the cheaper handsets in the Nokia range, making it affordable for most users. As it is also available on a variety of contracts, if you shop around you should also be able to get it free of charge with some deals. This is a Windows smartphone, which is something of an advantage over Nokia’s own operating system and the processor – although smaller than on most smartphones – is perfectly fine for this particular model and most of the phone’s functions can be carried out quickly and easily.

Camera

The handset is also equipped with a 5 megapixel camera and this also has the capability of taking top quality video recordings. The camera has an autofocus features and there is also an LED flash which is ideal for taking photos in poor light. Viewing is easy on the 3.7 inch touchscreen which is slightly smaller than most smartphones although not so small that it can have a negative effect on viewing. Photos and video as well as webpages can all be seen clearly and the colours and brightness are fine.

Internet

Connectivity on the Nokia Lumia 610 can be achieved via 3G or Wi-Fi so getting online to check websites or email is not difficult. The phone also has a GPS receiver and you get voice-guided navigation included.

Memory

Storage is a major issue for many smartphone users as most people like to use their phones now for music or storing their photos and there is a total of 8GB on-board storage with this handset. This is actually a respectable amount of storage space when compared with other low-cost handsets although it cannot be expanded.

Music

The 8GB of storage is only a disadvantage if you are one of those people who likes to use their phone as their main MP3 player and as this does not apply to everybody, this should not be a disappointment for most.

If music is important and the space is not enough there is always the FM Radio. The phone has a 3.5 mm headphone jack so listening on the go is easy and you do not need to disturb other people at the same time. The music player is considered to be good quality and you will find that in this respect, this handset more than holds its own with others in the field.

In Conclusion

Nokia has long been one of the most popular names when it comes to mobile phones although the manufacturer was slow off the mark with smartphones. Handsets such as the Nokia Lumia 610 show that they are now catching up with other handset manufacturers and are once again becoming a leading name for mobile communications.
