HP has just recently launched a new line of printers it calls the ink Advantage series, capable of printing obscene amounts of printouts in its relatively, because the HP Desk Jet Ink Advantage 2520hc looks nothing like a juggernaut that is capable of printing over a thousand pages on one cartridge.
The 2520hc is decked in all black, a common theme we have come to relate with a lot of HP’s printers lately, and it is an AIO printer which is also capable of copying and scanning. There’s not really too many fancy things to say about it either as it doesn’t come with any network capabilities, much less Wi-Fi. This feels a shame.
The 2520hcs cartridges are separated into two tanks: black and the color. Instructions for installation are readily available on the printer itself, so its relatively straight forward printing is mostly handled over the LCD screen at the side of the printer ,which does a fine job at keeping things easy and accessible.
Printing is the raisin d’etre of the 2520hc, and it definitely shows in the printouts. Documents prints look crisp, and even photos photos printed on standard A4 paper look pretty vibrant.
The 2520hc boasts a capability of churning out 1500 pages on a single ink cartridge. Unfortunately ,we have no way of testing this without chopping down several trees, but HP has already demonstrated this by having internationally renowned artist Red Hong craft a painting with 1500 printed feathers produced on one cartridge. Considering the cheap price(RM37) of a single cartridge, this is probably one of the best value for money printers around.
The copy and scanning features on the 2520hc is also as straight forward as they come ,and the copy quality comes out almost as good as the print quality too.
