The idea of entrepreneurship is as old a capitalism, but these days most entrepreneurial success stories include savvy entrepreneurs under 30 years old. Many of them are embracing the world’s love for anything online, which puts them a step ahead of old fashioned business men who may still be resisting the online world.
The youngest entrepreneur on this list is Daniel Gomez Iniguez. He is the co-founder of Solben, a company that creates and sells technology that uses algae and plants for biodiesel. Projected revenue for 2011 is expected to triple from $1 million in 2010.
One of the most recently recognized names in new entrepreneurial businesses is Instagram. The founders, Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger, are just 25 and 27 years old. The company provides a service to edit photos from an app. More than 7 million people use this service and the company isn’t done yet. It plans to increase revenue with new advertising and exclusive accounts.
